Rising from the blue waters of the equator, Fuvahmulah is a one-island atoll located in the deep south of the Maldives. Positioned on the Chagos–Laccadive volcanic ridge, its unique geography creates an environment where dramatic drop-offs, nutrient-rich currents and deep pelagic waters converge. These conditions support expansive coral reef systems and a thriving population of rare oceanic giants.
The island features a diverse range of dive and freedive locations — from a vast oceanic plateau at 50 metres to breathtaking vertical reef walls. Fuvahmulah’s pristine coral gardens sit only metres from rolling white-sand beaches, with visibility regularly exceeding 30 metres and waters plunging to more than 1000 metres just offshore.
