We’ll begin our tour in Hyde Park, where Gadigal women gathered for generations and later led powerful protests. You’ll meet Australia’s rebel saint, then walk Macquarie Street, where one woman stopped the demolition of some of Sydney’s most iconic buildings in the 1940s.
We’ll visit the Hyde Park Barracks, Sydney’s first hospital, NSW Parliament House, the original Government House, the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, and a tucked-away government office where a civil rights leader found her voice — and where the woman who helped build the Harbour Bridge once worked.
From there, we follow a quieter, more scenic path into The Rocks, where you’ll meet pub owners, writers, nurses, widows, mothers, and Chinese women who built community.
Distance: 3km, in 2 hours. Relaxed pace
These are the women who resisted, rebuilt, and reshaped the city we walk through today.
Whether you’ve lived here all your life or you’re visiting for the first time (welcome!), you’ll discover a side of the city you’ve never noticed before. Our tours feel like being shown around by a friend — relaxed, curious, and full of stories (plus post-tour recs!) you won’t find in any guidebook.
Whether you’re coming solo, with friends, on a date, or with family, this experience is for everyone.
