The Cycling: We start with a wonderful first day riding the easy and coastal Bass Coast Trail after transferring from Melbourne. On day 2, we commence our ride from the new start of the Great Southern Rail Trail in Nyora, and over 3 days will arrive to the newly extended end section at Yarram, so you will ride the full length of this beautiful cycling trail. Total Distance: Possible total 154kms over 4 days of cycling. Track: Compacted gravel surface, fine gravel suitable for most bikes and riders and a joy to ride!
A brief tour itinerary is as follows: Day 1 – Depart Melbourne, ride the Bass Coast Trail 23kms then transfer to Wonthaggi for overnight Day 2 – Morning transfer to Nyora and ride to Meeniyan 52kms, overnight Day 3 – Ride from Meeniyan to Port Welshpool 51kms, transfer back to Meeniyan Day 4 – Transfer to Port Welshpool and ride final section to Yarram 28kms then transfer to Melbourne
This cycling tour will run on select dates and will have strictly limited availability (small groups limited to 10 riders plus your support team).
The cycling tour start and end point will be Melbourne (to be advised) and whilst it is possible to join the tour at the start point of Loch, as you can see from the map below, return transfers to Melbourne do not pass back through Loch.
Your tour includes quality accommodation (3 nights with one property including a pool!), most meals and a special dining event in Meeniyan.
