Stride or Ride 2026

Welcome to STRIDE or RIDE, the outdoor coastal adventure with purpose proudly supporting our charity partner, The Portsea Camp.

Whether you're walking one of three scenic routes through Portsea and Sorrento or cycling along the stunning roads of Melbourne Bayside and the Southern Peninsula, every step you STRIDE and every kilometre you RIDE helps fund life-changing experiences for Victorian children.

Your participation directly supports empowering vulnerable and disadvantaged children facing trauma, social isolation, or financial hardship through immersive, nature-based adventures that build confidence, resilience, and connection through The Portsea Camp.

Together, we can make a difference one stride or ride at a time.

The Portsea Camp

For 80 years, The Portsea Camp has been a beacon of hope for children, providing life-changing experiences in a safe, supportive, and empowering environment. We're not just a camp; we're a lifeline, serving over 10,000 children each year, ensuring they grow up happy, healthy, and well.

The driving force behind our mission is a community – one that may be geographically flung far and wide but nonetheless united by a shared vision.

The Portsea camp is the children, their families, our supporters, dedicated staff, and compassionate volunteers. Together, we're paving the way for brighter futures, building a supportive, resilient community that stands up for those who need it most.

Our commitment is unwavering. More children than ever need a helping hand, and we are here, ready to offer it. With your support, we will continue to grow, uphold our values of fun, connection, respect, and growth, and make a difference in the lives of countless Victorian children.

With no government funding, the camp relies entirely on the generosity of the community, partners, and camp bookings to continue its mission of Creating Brighter Futures for Every Child.

Fundraising initiatives like STRIDE or RIDE play a vital role in helping The Portsea Camp provide fully subsidised camp places so that every child, regardless of their circumstances, has the opportunity to thrive and experience childhood joy.
