The ex-HMAS Canberra, a former warship which served the Australian Navy between 1981 and 2005, is the first artificial reef in Victoria created specifically for diving.
The vessel was scuttled off Barwon Heads in October 2009 and now lies in 30 metres of water.
Paradise Wall is located on the Lonsdale side of Port Phillip Heads and is a great dive site on Lonsdale Wall. It's the shallowest part of the wall with the drop-off starting in 10 or 12 metres of water. This makes the site a great beginning site for the less advanced diver as there are numerous overhangs to explore at relatively shallow depths.
