Two wonderful dive sites with a wide variety of creatures including Nudibranchs to Seastars, typically on the top.
You'll find Yellow Zoanthids plus numerous fish life including Southern Blue Devil, Old Wives, Boarfish, Dusky Morwong, Sixspine Leatherjacket, Scalyfin, Zebrafish, Bluethroat Wrasse, Senator Wrasse and Sweep hiding under the ledges. You can sometimes spot Weedy Seadragons under and around the rock.
There is even a slim chance of a Southern Rock Lobster (aka Crayfish) or two under ledges at the bottom, or in the nearby reef.
Located outside the Port Phillip Heads. This beautiful bommie rises out of the sandy bottom from around 20m to around 12m at the top. The location makes for a great dive for everyone as there is heaps of ledges and splits and the bommie makes is easy to navigate, lack currents and have a fixed depth on the bottom.
The rock is around 200m in circumference, has many overhangs, walls and swimthroughs, and can be circled several times in a dive.
It is a wonderful fish dive, with a wide variety of creatures from sea dragons to Port Jackson sharks to be found on and around the Rock. There is even a slim chance of a cray or two under the overhangs at the bottom.
