Birds of Plenty Gorge - Yarrambat
Yarrambat, VIC
About this Adventure
Join a Parks Victoria volunteer-led walk to observe the bird life of Plenty Gorge Park.
Join a Parks Victoria volunteer-led bird walk through the Yarrambat section of Plenty Gorge Park.
We will discover the large variety of birds that call Plenty Gorge home and learn about the habitat that supports them.
Please note that this walk includes challenging sections through unformal trails, steep inclines and uneven, sometimes slippery terrain. Participants need full mobility and good fitness to complete the trail. Due to the nature of the terrain sturdy walking boots are required.
Meeting Point is the end of Ashley Rd, Yarrambat, this road ends at the park gate. There is ample space to park here. The approx. 3.5 km walk is a moderate level walk and takes 2 hours to complete. Expected terrain is varied, and the track is narrow and undulating at times along the river side.
Please note there is no toilet facilities.
BYO binoculars if available, however they are not essential for participants.
