Looking for something better than spending Sunday on the couch?

Come join us for a relaxed Sunday afternoon walk along the beautiful Maribyrnong River, with good conversation, fresh air and a drink at Anglers waiting for us at the finish. 🍻🌿

We’ll meet at Anglers Tavern at 12pm and follow the river trail towards the beautiful Heavenly Queen Temple (Mazu Temple), where we’ll stop briefly before making our way back along the river.

Expect around 10km of mostly easy walking, plenty of opportunities to chat and meet new people, and a very civilised finish back at Anglers Tavern.

Once we're back, stick around for an optional late lunch, drink or Sunday afternoon catch-up.

THE WALK

This isn't a race and you don't need to be an experienced hiker. It's designed for people who enjoy being outdoors, getting some kilometres into the legs and meeting others along the way.

MEETING POINT

📍 Anglers Tavern, Maribyrnong Please arrive around 11:45am so we can check everyone in and be ready to leave at 12:00pm sharp. We’ll finish back at Anglers Tavern in the afternoon.

WHAT TO BRING

Comfortable walking shoes, water, sun protection and a light rain jacket if the weather looks changeable. Melbourne weather is Melbourne weather — a little drizzle won't stop us. ☔

PLEASE NOTE

Tickets are non-refundable, so please only book if you're genuinely planning to come. The walk will go ahead in normal Melbourne weather. If conditions become unsafe, participants will be contacted. Food and drinks at Anglers Tavern are optional and purchased separately.

Come solo or bring a friend — lots of people attend Melbourne Adventure Club events on their own.
