Bushman’s Supper ~ Dinner at Craig’s Hut (4+ persons)

Create lifelong memories with an ultimate dining experience at the iconic Craig’s Hut.

This is a truly unique High Country adventure which starts with a drive through Alpine Ash forests along a track that winds its way deep into the Victorian Alps.

A short hike uphill will soon have you arriving at one of the most beautiful locations in Victoria. If luck is on your side, you might be able to spot some wildlife such as echidnas and wombats along the track.

Once out of the forest, breathtaking views will open up with blue hues of the mountains stretching in front of you into infinity.

Upon arrival at your destination you will have time to explore the hut before your rustic dinner, fit for a true high country cattleman, is served.

Be spoilt by the scenery and the location of your dinner setting as you enjoy each others’ company and your meal accompanied by local wines and beers, while the setting sun casts a golden glow over Craig’s Hut and the day turns into night, putting an end to another amazing day in Victoria’s High Country.

Getting back to your accommodation at the end of your adventure is another wonderful experience. You can either choose to hike back down the short track with headlamps on, keeping an eye out for wombats. The track looks very different at night and it’s a great experience. Or, you can choose to hitch a ride straight from Craig’s Hut. Just keep in mind that the first 2.5km are on a 4WD track and it can be quite rough at times. 

This experience is available on demand from the second weekend in November till the end of May any day of the week. However, please note that this is a public place and other people may be around, especially on weekends and public holidays.
