Located just outside the Port Phillip Heads these's site's are particularly suited for those looking to catch Southern Rock Lobster (crayfish). Situated among scattered reefs the site offers depths ranging from 18 to 25 metres, making it suitable for a variety of certified divers, great for beginners and photographers as well as experienced hunter gatherers. Bring 2 Cylinders if your doing a double dive or hire cylinders from bay city charters and don't forget you catch bag and fishing license.
The reef is teeming with marine life, including Southern Rock Lobsters, Blue Devil fish, Weedy Seadragons, Australian Fur Seals, Abalone, and an incredible diversity of temperate reef species.
The underwater landscape is formed from soft limestone that has been sculpted over thousands of years into an intricate maze of swim-throughs, gullies, valleys, and overhangs, all lightly draped in kelp. This varied terrain provides excellent habitat for marine life and endless opportunities for exploration.
