At the southernmost point of the Lonsdale wall system lies Foggy Reef.
Perched atop the reef is a plateau standing at approximately 10 meters in depth. Venturing northward to the east, swimmers encounter the precipitous edge wall, plunging to depths of around 25 meters. Descending over this edge unveils a breathtaking underwater vista. As you follow the curvature of the wall to the south, it gracefully veers eastward.
Approximately 20 meters (66 feet) from the edge, a colossal old admiralty anchor is ensconced within the wall's intricate ecosystem. It camouflages seamlessly amidst the vibrant tapestry of colorful marine growth, demanding a keen eye to discern its presence.
Directly across from this spectacle, nestled in the sandy expanse, lie two weathered cannons. Yet, the ever-shifting sands occasionally obscure these relics, lending an air of mystery to their discovery. After exploring this historical tableau, retracing your path leads back along the wall's northern expanse, revealing an abundance of marine life flourishing amidst the rich tapestry of encrusted invertebrates—soft corals, gorgonians, and sponges adorn every surface. Delve into the labyrinthine undercuts and overhangs, where vibrant hues and prolific growth await discovery, accompanied by a mesmerizing array of fish and marine life thriving in this captivating environment.
