Located off Collendina on the Barwon Coast, 18 Metre Reef is situated just beyond Port Phillip Heads in Bass Strait. Positioned within an expanse of scattered reef, the depths in this area range from 12 to 18 meters. It is well-known for its abundance of Crayfish and Abalone, with the possibility of encountering Weedy Seadragons.
Featuring rock formations and bommies that rise from the seabed to a maximum depth of 18 meters, the underwater landscape comprises ledges adorned with kelp, as well as cracks and crevasses. These natural formations create an ideal sanctuary for various fish and critters, offering them protection when needed. Among the marine life, delicate fans, soft corals, and species like the Southern Blue Devil are commonly observed in the shelter of the ledges and overhangs.
