Dragon boating is a great way to keep fit and participate as part of a team. No experience is necessary, we will provide you with everything you need: a paddle, life jacket (if required) and instruction. You just need to bring a water bottle, hat and light comfortable clothing as you may get wet!
You are welcome to any training day. We train Monday and Thursday at 5:00 pm and Saturday at 7:00 am. Aim to be there 10 minutes early to get organised.
You need to let us know you are coming. The best way is to register for the specific training event you are interested in coming to. You can do that by clicking Go to Bookings Site. You must register for a Dragon Pass before come and try. A Dragon Pass entitles you to 1 Month free paddling. Once you have a registered for a Dragon Pass you do not need to register for one again for a month. However you do need to register for this event so we know when you are coming.
Generally you can come up to 5 times before you have to decide if you like it or not and join the club.
Training happens at the Ballina Angling Club on Tamarind drive
7:00 am for 7:20 am on water
Wear comfortable clothes. You may get splashed. Sandles or boat shoes are recommended. Bring a water bottle, hat etc.
