Alpine Eco Tree Tent Overnight Experience

Experience nature from above, levitating off the ground while watching the stars with your partner or a friend!

In and around the tree tents All tents are equipped with thick insulated mattress, warm sleeping bag, phone charger, tent light, bag storage.

We also have a few big 6 people hammock stretched around the camp. 

There are plenty of games and activities to keep you entertained at our eco-camp: slackfline, finska, pétanque etc. And there are a range of activities available during the day to fill you stay including short walks, day hikes, bike riding, gourmet BBQ etc. Or simply relax in one of our giant hammocks and enjoy the fresh pure Alpine air.

Access  We are about 2km from Mount Hotham Village and 8km from Dinner Plain on the great Alpine Road.  There is plenty of free parking at Wireplain carpark. 

The eco-village is hidden in the wilderness, a few hundred meters from the main road. Access by foot only, on the marked Dargo loop, an easy 300m stroll from the carpark. We can assist you with luggage transport but recommend using a small backpack for your stay.

Meals and food:  All breakfast are included. Wake up to the smell of fresh coffee and a cooked breakfast; French toast, bacon and eggs are on the menu!

Lunch: We don’t serve lunch in the tipi but we can organise a grazing platter delivered to your tent (no food in the tents please) or a hamper to take on your adventure. Alternatively we can recommend some great places to have a meal around Hotham and Dinner Plain.

Dinner: At night time, we get the fires going and that’s not just for the look. Most of our food is cooked using wood fire heat, from the grill to the oven (fire restrictions permitting).

We have partnered with some amazing local chefs to design a la carte, European inspired meals to choose from during your stay. Our menu changes regularly but to get an idea look at our menu sample.

LONG WEEKEND AND SPECIAL EVENT: We run our classic home-made wood fire pizza night. A great occasion to be social and meet the other campers. Set price, $39 pp all you can eat gourmet seasonal pizza, flavors as they come out of the woodfire oven!

Important info: Please note that, for health and safety reasons, there are no communal cooking facilities available at our eco-village.  Alpine Nature Experience is fully licenced. STRICTLY NO BYO FOOD OR ALCOHOL

At the Eco-camp Our eco-village is set-up in the wilderness of Hotham. Everything is carried in and out by man power to reduce our impact on the fragile alpine environment. We are completely off the grid, but for your comfort, are able to offer the following services:
